How time flies.
I've been meaning to write but there are so many events happening. Moving back here, Ramadan, new everything...and I am really trying very hard to like this change. But I'm not sure if change was what I was looking for. It was something that I didnt expect but I am taking it as my life unfolds. Nothing is certain but Allah knows what He is doing, and He knows best, that I am certain.
I have not been running. With Ramadan and all, I skipped running altogether and paid the price. My fitness has dipped to zero. As I ran at McRitchie this morning with my brother, I thought about switching my 50km bib to a 25km bib cos running is soooo... hard (I was whining like a baby) and then I thought about the pain and the agony that I had to go through last year and I know this is all insane. I'm so not prepared (like I ever will). But as I thought about it, I realized that most people would just give up things that are just too difficult to attempt. It's so easy to give up. At that point while I was running, giving up was the easy option. It was so easy cos like a click of the fingers, poof! I could make all this pain disappear.
Well, if you all know me by now, I am a stubborn girl. Someday I might regret this macho-ness and the gung-ho attitude but for now, I'd say let's train for it. Let's do it. A lot of things can happen in my 5 weeks, right?
Anyone has books on 'Training for 50K in 5 weeks for Dummies'?

Kash, last year i only trained for about 4 weeks for TNF.
- Lots of stairs climbing work.
- Back to back to back to back LSD.
- Holding up to the mantra "no matter what, i want to reach the finish line".
And you have 5 weeks to go...
P/s: Remember 'quarts'? Go for a big breakfast on race day, and timely take your energy intake. Kalau u tak bonk, insyaAllah u'll improve the timing.
I'm sure you tak register the team name as "near cut off time" kan?
Good luck my friend! I'll wait for the race report next month.
tapi last year Nik trained for Kinabalu for 16 weeks hahahah
Stay injury-free though, Kash, kang susah nak do Ironman Malaysia 2012 hehehe

Love your gung-ho attitude girl! No harm training as much as you can (without injury of course), then come race day, just go and enjoy yourself. Take care and look forward to your race report!
Hi everyone. Snails don't get injured. Lol
